lyrics

Moving To The Beat 1985

Moving to the beat, locking out the doors
Looking like a no-go, talking ‘bout what was
Ain’t got no rhythm, ain’t got no car
Just church on Mondays, you wanna know
You’re gonna know
Aw…. Aw… Aw… Aw…. Aw… Aw…

Encircling the street, they push you to your feet
Eating your front and anything you meet
Don’t need no conference to see what’s going down
Move over, I’ll see you ‘round

When the sun goes down they’ll be standing on the streets with their stereos (stereos)
With their ears to the ground they’ll be taking all the guano of the town
When the sun goes down they won’t give a damn ‘bout no baño

With their backs to the light they’ll be hanging on the street with their credit cards
Smoking cigarettes and laughing in the faces of the fool
Thinking they are cool in their Volks Wagon vans they are supermen
Dancing on the beach while I take another drink from my stool.
When the sun goes down they’ll be standing on the streets with their stereos
With their ears to the ground they’ll be taking all the guano of the town
When the sun goes down they won’t give a damn about no baño …..I know

Aw…. Aw… Aw… Aw…. Aw… Aw…
