about

Forbidden love and the politics of chancing

lyrics

I Watch You 1989

I watch you, you watch me
Through the chains of somebody’s dreams
Speeding past, worn out cars go falling fast
It’s a game, it was meant to be
So lay……………. So lay………

I watch you through the fire
Avoiding eyes, they strike me blind
You glance, swords advance there was no chance
In a cellar marking time
So lay…………….
So lay down by me, right next to me
So, So, So lay……………. So lay…………

Through the rushes, down the streams
Through connections we’ve been seen
Come tomorrow, we’ll be torn apart
No age could cure this aching heart

So lay……………. So lay………
So, So, So, So
So lay……………. So lay………
Ooh………………….
